2014 GCDC Event Info

The 2014 Greater Tulsa Area Great Cloth Diaper Change will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at the Broken Arrow Community Center located at 1500 S. Main Street in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, from 9:30am - 12:00pm.  Click HERE to register!

The Great Cloth Diaper Change event's purpose is to not only break the Guinness World Record, but to also help spread awareness that cloth diapering is truly the best diapering option for your baby. It's eco-friendly and eliminates unnecessary waste in our landfills. Cloth diapering is also budget friendly and will save
families thousands of dollars during the years they diaper their children.

The 2012 world record was 8,251 qualifying participants at 189 locations on 4 continents! This far exceeded the 2011 record of 5,026 simultaneous cloth diaper changes! The Greater Tulsa Area GCDC Event ranked #6 world-wide with 109 participants. The Greater Tulsa Area GCDC Event also ranked #1 in fundraising for The Real Diaper Association with $330+ donated!

The 2013 world record was 8,301 with qualifying participants at 206 locations!  The Greater Tulsa Area GCDC Event ranked #5 world-wide with 113 participants. And again, the Greater Tulsa Area GCDC Event also ranked #1 in fundraising for The Real Diaper Association with $700+ donated!

Some FYI's for The Tulsa Area Great Cloth Diaper Change:
  • Each participant must be paired with a child 39 inches or shorter .
  • The child participant must be wearing a commercially available cloth or disposable diaper and be equipped with an additional commercially-available, 100 percent reusable cloth diaper (no disposable inserts) for changing into.
  • A family changing two children must have two adults available to participate in the diaper change.
  • Per Guinness, ONLY the participant and one adult (18+ years old) will be allowed in the roped off "Diaper Changing" area.  Older children will not be allowed in the roped off "Diaper Change" area but must stand outside the roped off area.
  • At the sound of a loud start signal, all participants must remove their child's cloth or disposable diaper and properly put on a cloth diaper that is 100 percent reusable.
  • To ensure plenty of space for all of our guests and participants, strollers are strongly discouraged. The GCDC is the perfect event for baby wearing. Also, strollers will not be allowed in the "diaper changing" area. Thank you for your help and cooperation!

We're confident that the 2014 GCDC will be even bigger and more successful and hope you will join us for a wonderful event!
